With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ciriaco Ikatz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Toba getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Florencio Dimas hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Real Madrid C.F.'s Inocencio Guipuzkoa got a free kick in the 34th minute. Toba's Adolfo Barbosa got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Toba's Artemio Sidro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Toba from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Real Madrid C.F.'s zone, Adolfo Barbosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciriaco Ikatz came out of the goal and Adolfo Barbosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eulalio Velasco charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eulalio Velasco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eulalio Velasco hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Artemio Sidro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Toba's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
