Ermegildo Calixto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. C.A.Independiente's Cayetano Haimar got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 24th minute, Ermegildo Calixto fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Artemio Sidro, passed just outside the right post. Toba's Artemio Sidro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cayetano Haimar in the 25th minute of play. Cayetano Haimar struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Artemio Sidro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A.Independiente. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Toba's goalkeeper Artemio Sidro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Toba's zone, Cayetano Haimar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artemio Sidro came out of the goal and Cayetano Haimar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ermegildo Calixto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artemio Sidro having to interfere. If Ermegildo Calixto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cayetano Haimar to make the kick off. Ermegildo Calixto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cayetano Haimar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Artemio Sidro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ermegildo Calixto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ermegildo Calixto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artemio Sidro having to interfere. Florencio Dimas kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. If Ermegildo Calixto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute.
