Spectators: 7113 (Terracing: 5444, Seating: 1669, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Remigio Lartaun kicked off to start the match. Reynaldo Kelemen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeremias Stephen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Delmar Garci. Islas's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Canallas fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Canallas's Florencio Libertad looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Leopoldo Patrido hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute of the match Canallas got a corner. Islas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Reynaldo Kelemen ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Guaberto Bieito heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 33rd minute Florencio Libertad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delmar Garci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Islas's Saverio Frans got a free kick in the 39th minute. After the first half Canallas were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Florencio Libertad stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remigio Lartaun in the 52nd minute of play forced Canallas's goalkeeper Ruperto Emesto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Canallas's Reynaldo Kelemen got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Reynaldo Kelemen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruperto Emesto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remigio Lartaun in the 69th minute of play. Delmar Garci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reynaldo Kelemen in the 72nd minute of the match. If Florencio Libertad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reynaldo Kelemen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmar Garci having to interfere. Reynaldo Kelemen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Delmar Garci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, Florencio Libertad had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Delmar Garci. Islas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Florencio Libertad was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. When the match was over Canallas could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Islas throughout the match.
