In the 6thth minute of the game Natalio Caetano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pedernal's Gogo Cortez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Cristo Garin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Barrialito FC booed when Pedernal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidoro Solustiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregorio Gartxot in the 12th minute of play forced Pedernal's goalkeeper Gogo Cortez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Barrialito FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Christian Presebal hit a great ball. Basilio Bartoli shot from long distance in the 17th minute, but Alejo Niva was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. In the 20th minute, Gregorio Gartxot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 26th minute of the match Astor Frances shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gogo Cortez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gogo Cortez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregorio Gartxot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gregorio Gartxot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Gogo Cortez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Pedernal defense, Natalio Caetano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gogo Cortez. The Pedernal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gogo Cortez should have stopped the shot. After the first half Barrialito FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristo Garin to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Pedernal's goalkeeper Gogo Cortez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gregorio Gartxot. After 54 minutes, Isidoro Solustiano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pedernal and the Barrialito FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 54 played minutes Pedernal got a freekick which was hit by Isidoro Solustiano. Gogo Cortez was a little too slow when Natalio Caetano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 0-3. Pedernal's Gogo Cortez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natalio Caetano in the 64th minute of play. Alejo Niva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristo Garin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristo Garin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejo Niva having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, Barrialito FC's Gregorio Gartxot sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gogo Cortez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 77 played minutes Gregorio Gartxot rounded Pedernal's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-4. Gogo Cortez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Presebal in the 81st minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Barrialito FC's Natalio Caetano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gogo Cortez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Gregorio Gartxot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 0-5 became the score in the 90th minute when Gregorio Gartxot elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Barrialito FC's Natalio Caetano in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pedernal's goalie prevented a goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Barrialito FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
