In the 43rd minute of the match, Herminio Adrio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Adan Haritz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Faustino Gilabert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 47 minutes of play, Lastenia's Gaston Nayely made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alvaro Ladio was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Lastenia were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Enrique Rufo during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lastenia's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
