The audience was convinced that Raul Goiz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roman Claude was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Club Nacional de Fútbol's Ciriaco Romano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Ramirez in the 15th minute of play. Venancio Ilixo succeeded in the game's 26th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. After the first half Club Nacional de Fútbol were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Venancio Ilixo was the one to do the kick off. Raul Goiz might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roman Claude. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raul Goiz ran back to his position shaking his head. Club Nacional de Fútbol's Ciriaco Romano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arsenio Cresconio in the 86th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Ramirez in the 87th minute of play forced Club Nacional de Fútbol's goalkeeper Ciriaco Romano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eustacio Gartzen struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Ciriaco Romano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manantiales FC. When Hugo Ramirez came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Manantiales FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo Ramirez couldn't finish the play. Eustacio Gartzen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Ciriaco Romano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roman Claude made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Raul Goiz sent off a good shot on target. The Manantiales FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Club Nacional de Fútbol's performance. The match ended with a win for Club Nacional de Fútbol.
