In the 13th minute, Uriel Oriche got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Bernabel in the 17th minute of play forced Bolsón's goalkeeper Martin Hegoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Hegoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guaberto Gonzales in the 18th minute of the match. Martin Hegoi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guaberto Gonzales went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Uriel Oriche might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arturo Valery. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Uriel Oriche ran back to his position shaking his head. Silverio Michael received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Arturo Valery tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciro Haritz in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arturo Valery prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Uriel Oriche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arturo Valery having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Ciro Haritz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Arturo Valery. That made the score 1-2 in the 34 minute of play. Ciro Haritz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Epifanio Galindo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Club Atletico River Plate were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Hector Orlanda made the kick off in the second half. Arturo Valery came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Bolsón's Epifanio Galindo. But to his dismay, Epifanio Galindo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Silverio Michael recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 58 minutes, Epifanio Galindo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bolsón's supporters crossed their fingers, but Epifanio Galindo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Club Atletico River Plate's Arturo Valery played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Berdoi in the 60th minute of play. When Epifanio Galindo came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Bolsón fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Epifanio Galindo couldn't finish the play. When Bolsón's Uriel Oriche in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Arturo Valery was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee ended the match the Bolsón players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
