He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Suplentes reached it. Maximo Arano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ramiro Cordeal went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bartolo Transito in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maximo Arano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Ramiro Cordeal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Abancens hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Guaberto Calvet, 36 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristian Abancens during the 37th minute. Cristian Abancens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bartolo Transito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximo Arano having to interfere. Suplentes's Ramiro Cordeal got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 43rdth minute of the game Bartolo Transito who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paltoroa's Maximo Arano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half Suplentes were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ramiro Cordeal was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Suplentes's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Abancens came free, but Amancio Inautzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ramiro Cordeal in the 53rd play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Maximo Arano kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 0-3 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Emilio Manuelo struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Amancio Inautzi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paltoroa. Dionisio Raulo hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute, Bartolo Transito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dionisio Raulo's late challenge caught a Suplentes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dionisio Raulo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Suplentes booed when Paltoroa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dionisio Raulo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Bartolo Transito came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Suplentes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bartolo Transito couldn't finish the play. If Fausto Frantzes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bartolo Transito got free with Maximo Arano in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Paltoroa's zone, Bartolo Transito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maximo Arano came out of the goal and Bartolo Transito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bartolo Transito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximo Arano having to interfere. Maximo Arano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filomeno Herena in the 86th minute of play. Paltoroa's Maximo Arano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Paltoroa from getting a goal against them. 94 minutes into the match, Emilio Manuelo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amancio Inautzi. Suplentes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emilio Manuelo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Bartolo Transito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Maximo Arano made a huge save.
