Encrucijada's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chucuma AFC the free kick. Encrucijada's Alfredo Ascencio got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lisandro Txanton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Ascencio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Nestor Unax managed to get in a good position for a shot. Encrucijada's supporters rose to their feet, but Nestor Unax was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lisandro Txanton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Domingos Kauldi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uriel Argenis in the 28th minute of play forced Chucuma AFC's goalkeeper Lisandro Txanton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 30 minutes of play, Encrucijada's Uriel Argenis made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lisandro Txanton was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nestor Unax struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Romeo Bartoleme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingos Kauldi in the 47th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 52nd minute Domingos Kauldi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeo Bartoleme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
