The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Romeo Bartoleme was out of position in the 4 minute of play, and Carolo Johans capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Carolo Johans really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Alfredo Estebe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uriel Argenis, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Guaberto Sazon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Romeo Bartoleme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eliseo Aurken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeo Bartoleme having to interfere. The supporters of Covadonga booed when Encrucijada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celedonio Eneko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Prudencio Jon hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. When Covadonga's Nereo Bastian in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Romeo Bartoleme was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 33 minutes into the match, Encrucijada's goal looked a bit too open when Carolo Johans came free, but Romeo Bartoleme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Encrucijada's Romeo Bartoleme proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Encrucijada from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Carolo Johans put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Romeo Bartoleme. 60 minutes into the match, Encrucijada's goal looked a bit too open when Carolo Johans came free, but Romeo Bartoleme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nestor Unax's late challenge caught a Covadonga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eliseo Aurken struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Romeo Bartoleme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Covadonga. Saverio Maju kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carolo Johans in the 86th minute of play forced Encrucijada's goalkeeper Romeo Bartoleme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute, Guaberto Sazon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Covadonga fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-1. Romeo Bartoleme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carolo Johans in the 96th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Covadonga had played much better football throughout.
