The supporters of Zanjón FC booed when Sportivo Avellaneda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesar Hats didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sportivo Avellaneda's Gaspar Playo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Sportivo Avellaneda from getting a goal against them. Gaspar Playo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pastor Artal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute, Geronimo Escobar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zanjón FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 33 minutes into the match, Pastor Artal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gaspar Playo. Sportivo Avellaneda's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pastor Artal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 36 minutes into the match, Vladimiro Palban dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gaspar Playo, 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hector Guipuzkoa got free with Gaspar Playo in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

54 minutes into the game, Pastor Artal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Gaspar Playo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 65 minutes into the game, Zanjón FC's Pastor Artal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gaspar Playo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. In the 68th minute, Cecilio Cordarell made a precise shot to the right of Gaspar Playo. Sportivo Avellaneda's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. Tadeo Tolino hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute of the match Geronimo Escobar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gaspar Playo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Hector Guipuzkoa scored 8-0 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gaspar Playo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 80th match minute, Sportivo Avellaneda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadeo Tolino to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute Pastor Artal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaspar Playo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gaspar Playo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vladimiro Palban, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luciano Gutierrez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aureliano Ralondo kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. The supporters of Sportivo Avellaneda booed when Zanjón FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Guipuzkoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ruperto Satordi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Zanjón FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
