Gilberto Egoi might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Delmar Venceslao. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gilberto Egoi ran back to his position shaking his head. Gilberto Egoi charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilberto Egoi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gilberto Egoi hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Newton's zone, Aureliano Florin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristian Alvarez came out of the goal and Aureliano Florin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Aureliano Florin managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A Deustch Länder's supporters rose to their feet, but Aureliano Florin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristian Alvarez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 29 played minutes C.A Deustch Länder got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Vasco. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Simon Kauldi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newton's supporters rose to their feet, but Simon Kauldi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Delmar Venceslao breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 32nd minute Gilberto Egoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delmar Venceslao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilberto Egoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmar Venceslao having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aureliano Florin in the 41st minute of play forced Newton's goalkeeper Cristian Alvarez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Aureliano Florin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gilberto Egoi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Simon Kauldi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Newton booed when C.A Deustch Länder was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Vasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Kauldi in the 61st minute of play forced C.A Deustch Länder's goalkeeper Delmar Venceslao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd match minute, C.A Deustch Länder was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luisito Ekain to maneuver through the defense. Delmar Venceslao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilberto Egoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th match minute, C.A Deustch Länder was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Hondo to maneuver through the defense. When Marciano Peruxu fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A Deustch Länder's protests and gave Marciano Peruxu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 71st minute, Marciano Peruxu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Delmar Venceslao stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Simon Kauldi's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. In the 76th minute, Simon Kauldi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 78 minutes into the match, Newton's goalkeeper Cristian Alvarez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aureliano Florin. In the 82nd minute, Romulo Hibai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. C.A Deustch Länder's Oscar Neto couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Newton. 85 minutes into the match, Newton's goal looked a bit too open when Marciano Peruxu came free, but Cristian Alvarez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anier Magdaleno hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Aureliano Florin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristian Alvarez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. C.A Deustch Länder's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
