Aquiles Chan might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristian Alvarez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aquiles Chan ran back to his position shaking his head. If Simon Kauldi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 20 minutes of play, Cochinoca's Silverio Pirmin made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristian Alvarez was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Cochinoca getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Feliberto Osorio hit a great ball. Anier Magdaleno charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anier Magdaleno the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 30 played minutes Newton got a freekick which was hit by Anier Magdaleno. Silverio Pirmin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anier Magdaleno got his second yellow card in the match during the 33rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Newton's Anier Magdaleno got a free kick in the 34th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Simon Kauldi made a kick off. Cristian Alvarez made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Silverio Pirmin sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Cristian Alvarez managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when Cochinoca's Silverio Pirmin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Gilberto Egoi scored 2-1 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bartolo Ubarna, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Silverio Pirmin kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Bartolo Ubarna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Kauldi, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Newton's Simon Kauldi got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristian Alvarez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquiles Chan in the 73rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Newton's zone, Silverio Pirmin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristian Alvarez came out of the goal and Silverio Pirmin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 79 minutes into the match, Cochinoca's goal looked a bit too open when Simon Kauldi came free, but Bartolo Ubarna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Simon Kauldi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th match minute, Cochinoca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amado Baldovino to maneuver through the defense. Simon Kauldi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Aquiles Chan came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Cochinoca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aquiles Chan couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Newton had won after a very even match.
