Spectators: 6411 (Terracing: 5411, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ivan Onofre got the match started through his kick off. Ivan Onofre scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mauro Menendo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 10th minute, Santo Gabon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leon Vermudo was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and Reynaldo Oton capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Reynaldo Oton really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Reynaldo Oton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon Vermudo having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Teodosio Eyague reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Leon Vermudo. The goal made the score 2-1. When Tiburcio Vasco fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bacota's protests and gave Tiburcio Vasco a yellow card for diving instead. Tiburcio Vasco kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Bacota's Mauro Menendo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Onofre in the 22nd minute of play. Ivan Onofre recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Romulo Cordearo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mauro Menendo. Bacota's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Romulo Cordearo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Ivan Onofre struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Mauro Menendo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Córdoba. A collision led to Bacota getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Ricardo Lehoi hit a great ball. Mauro Menendo came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Córdoba's Ivan Onofre. But to his dismay, Ivan Onofre quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. 36 minutes into the match, Ivan Onofre notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Bacota's Mauro Menendo. Mauro Menendo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mauro Menendo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romulo Cordearo in the 40th minute of play. Reynaldo Oton was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 47th minute. Bacota's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After the first half Córdoba were leading 2-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

52 minutes into the game, Erasmo Miro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Córdoba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bacota the free kick. Erasmo Miro hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 54thth minute of the game Teodosio Eyague who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Córdoba's Leon Vermudo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 59thth minute of the game Reynaldo Oton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Córdoba's Leon Vermudo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 68th minute of the match Eustaquio Lehior sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leon Vermudo skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Córdoba getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Amador Procopio hit a great ball. Eustaquio Lehior, 71 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Romulo Cordearo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Menendo having to interfere. In the 82nd minute Ivan Onofre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Menendo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 83 minutes, Osvaldo Esdras mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bacota and the Córdoba players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 83 played minutes Bacota got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo Esdras. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Ivan Onofre managed to get in a good position for a shot. Córdoba's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivan Onofre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mauro Menendo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 88th minute, Ivan Onofre got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mauro Menendo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erasmo Miro, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Romulo Cordearo struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Mauro Menendo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Córdoba. When Córdoba's Ivan Onofre in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bacota's goalie prevented a goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Córdoba had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
