Los Paqueros's Nereo Ponciano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romulo Cordearo in the 22nd minute of play. Romulo Cordearo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Nereo Ponciano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Córdoba's Ivan Onofre in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Los Paqueros's Nereo Ponciano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Los Paqueros from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Onofre in the 60th minute of play forced Los Paqueros's goalkeeper Nereo Ponciano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Los Paqueros fully deserved thier win.
