With a left leg Donato Martxot saved Pilcomayo from getting behind. A collision led to Pilcomayo getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Eulalio Ihazintu hit a great ball. Donato Martxot stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Garikoitz Oraa's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. In the 7th minute, Pilcomayo's Evelio Barrionuevo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 10th minute Maximino Beltran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Martxot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aston Wilde FC's Erasmo Franco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Aston Wilde FC from getting a goal against them. Erasmo Franco was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Astor Eguntsenti showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 21 minute of play. Cesar Manuelo hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Donato Martxot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garikoitz Oraa in the 29th minute of the match. Pedro Katia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Erasmo Franco made a huge save. If Garikoitz Oraa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the game, Garikoitz Oraa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Donato Martxot was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Aston Wilde FC's Erasmo Franco got control of the ball when Evelio Barrionuevo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

51 minutes into the match, Aston Wilde FC's goal looked a bit too open when Evelio Barrionuevo came free, but Erasmo Franco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 52nd minute, Eulalio Ihazintu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pilcomayo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Orlando Laurendi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erasmo Franco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evelio Barrionuevo in the 65th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Desiderio Eriz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cesar Manuelo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erasmo Franco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Garikoitz Oraa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Donato Martxot. Pilcomayo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Garikoitz Oraa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-4. Maximino Beltran was extremely unlucky when he, in the 78th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 81st minute Eulalio Ihazintu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erasmo Franco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erasmo Franco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eulalio Ihazintu in the 82nd minute of play. Pilcomayo's Donato Martxot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garikoitz Oraa in the 92nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Pilcomayo's zone, Garikoitz Oraa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donato Martxot came out of the goal and Garikoitz Oraa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aston Wilde FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
