But to his dismay, Leo Birila quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Leo Birila's late challenge caught a Brotherstramo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leo Birila helped the player get up and apologised. After 16 played minutes El Guapo got a freekick which was hit by Leo Birila. 18 minutes into the match, Brotherstramo's goal looked a bit too open when Timoteo Nisio came free, but Baldomero Txurio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 21 played minutes El Guapo got a freekick which was hit by Eleuterio Quilino. 22 minutes into the match, El Guapo's goalkeeper Casimiro Reynardo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Justo Jacob. After 24 played minutes Brotherstramo got a freekick which was hit by Niceto Edorta. After recieving a nice pass, El Guapo's Erasmo Panfilo tried to score from far away in the 24th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. El Guapo's Casimiro Reynardo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save El Guapo from getting a goal against them. In the 42nd minute, Vinicio Gaueko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Brotherstramo booed when El Guapo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timoteo Nisio didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Brotherstramo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. El Guapo were winning 0-1.

Casimiro Reynardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celso Derwin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 58 minutes, Celso Derwin made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. El Guapo's Casimiro Reynardo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 63 played minutes El Guapo got a freekick which was hit by Erasmo Panfilo. Niceto Edorta was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 64th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 66th minute Celso Derwin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casimiro Reynardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Timoteo Nisio was shown his second yellow card after 77 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 78 played minutes El Guapo got a freekick which was hit by Timoteo Nisio. If Celso Derwin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Brotherstramo's Sebastian Eskuin got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 84th minute of the match Erasmo Panfilo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Baldomero Txurio skillfully saved the ball. In the 90th minute Justo Jacob shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casimiro Reynardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 93 minutes, Justo Jacob managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brotherstramo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Justo Jacob was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 96th minute, Celso Derwin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Casimiro Reynardo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Brotherstramo fans cheered their team off the field, for while El Guapo had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
