Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Manuel Ipar started the match with the kick off. In the 6th minute Edelmiro Ciceron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Quinton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eduardo Quinton came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Lazo FC's Manuel Ipar. But to his dismay, Manuel Ipar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Olascoaga FC's Tomas Haritz got a free kick in the 17th minute. Cipriano Osorio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Cristobal Abarca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olascoaga FC's Godfredo Fonso got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Raimundo Urtats fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristobal Abarca having to interfere. When Silvano Basualdo fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lazo FC's protests and gave Silvano Basualdo a yellow card for diving instead. 29 minutes into the game, Cipriano Osorio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Cristobal Abarca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lazo FC's Cristobal Abarca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Lazo FC from getting a goal against them. Cipriano Osorio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37thth minute of the game Godfredo Fonso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lazo FC's Cristobal Abarca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 39th match minute, Lazo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edelmiro Ciceron to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Olascoaga FC's Cipriano Osorio got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Eduardo Quinton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvano Cordero, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute of the match Francisco Fero sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cristobal Abarca skillfully saved the ball. Olascoaga FC's Francisco Fero shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 48th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Cristobal Abarca but with some difficulty. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cipriano Osorio was the one to do the kick off. Americo Hever was shown his second yellow card after 56 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Cristobal Abarca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano Osorio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 59 minutes into the match, Olascoaga FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edelmiro Ciceron came free, but Eduardo Quinton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Lazo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Baumar came free, but Cristobal Abarca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Raimundo Urtats had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 66 played minutes Lazo FC got a freekick which was hit by Santo Crescencio. Cristobal Abarca stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cipriano Osorio's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Cipriano Osorio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Cristobal Abarca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd match minute, Olascoaga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Godfredo Fonso to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute, Lazo FC's Edelmiro Ciceron dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. When Olascoaga FC's Cipriano Osorio in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lazo FC's goalie prevented a goal. If Zeledon Amor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 90 minutes, Cipriano Osorio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olascoaga FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cipriano Osorio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rd minute Cipriano Osorio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristobal Abarca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute, Godfredo Fonso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
