In the 48th minute, Romeo Guerau sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Futbol Club Rio Cuarto's Eulalio Inge didn't even have to move. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Genaro Flores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonatan Cordeal, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 55 minutes into the match, Damn Vikings's goalkeeper Genaro Flores had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Godfredo Cruz. Godfredo Cruz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Genaro Flores made a huge save. A very good chance. 74 minutes into the match, Damn Vikings's Eusebio Bartolome sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eulalio Inge narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jonatan Cordeal struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Genaro Flores didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Futbol Club Rio Cuarto. 87 minutes into the match, Futbol Club Rio Cuarto's goal looked a bit too open when Eusebio Bartolome came free, but Eulalio Inge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Jonatan Cordeal dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Genaro Flores, 0-1. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Futbol Club Rio Cuarto eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
