Cristobal Hermelando's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rafael Claus read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Monteverde fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 23rd minute. Penalty! Cristo Sansone placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Niceto Nataniel struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Jacinto Macario didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Potrerillo. In the 41st minute, Severo Luzaide hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lisandro Aurre charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lisandro Aurre the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Potrerillo's Lisandro Aurre got a free kick in the 44th minute. A collision led to Potrerillo getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Niceto Nataniel hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Cristo Sansone charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristo Sansone the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Monteverde booed when Potrerillo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristo Sansone didn't get a good kick on the ball. Constantino Hotz tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Rafael Claus. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-1 in the 54th minute. The referee gave Potrerillo a penalty, 59 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Cristo Sansone, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Monteverde's Jacinto Macario. 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Monteverde's zone, Agustin Seme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacinto Macario came out of the goal and Agustin Seme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustin Seme in the 65th minute of play forced Monteverde's goalkeeper Jacinto Macario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agustin Seme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Jacinto Macario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Agustin Seme took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacinto Macario. Jacinto Macario dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Francisco Claris hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pascual Montay in the 84th minute of play forced Monteverde's goalkeeper Jacinto Macario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
