An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregorio Guifre in the 18th minute of play forced Monteverde's goalkeeper Jacinto Macario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hernando Muñiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Jacinto Macario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aldo Mincho's late challenge caught a Potrero AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. A collision led to Potrero AFC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Hernando Muñiz hit a great ball. Robustiano Ledesma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pastor Gervaso having to interfere. In the 52ndth minute of the game Gregorio Guifre who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Monteverde's Jacinto Macario was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 60 minutes, Florentino Katia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monteverde's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florentino Katia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Gregorio Guifre came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Potrero AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gregorio Guifre couldn't finish the play. 62 minutes into the match, Monteverde's goal looked a bit too open when Hernando Muñiz came free, but Jacinto Macario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gregorio Guifre scored 7-0 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jacinto Macario, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Gregorio Guifre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the match, Potrero AFC's Camilo Quinten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacinto Macario narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Camilo Quinten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Jacinto Macario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Potrero AFC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
