Justino Luken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Cordarrel having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Edgardo Lizardi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 20 minutes into the game, Apolo Sabino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. EQF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atletico Campana the free kick. After a rather tough play, EQF's Apolo Sabino got a free kick in the 21st minute. The supporters of Atletico Campana booed when EQF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santos Remir didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atletico Campana's Feliberto Arlo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 24th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for EQF. A collision led to Atletico Campana getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Godfredo Ikatz hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Apolo Galeno managed to get in a good position for a shot. EQF's supporters rose to their feet, but Apolo Galeno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Cordarrel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Atletico Campana getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Benigno Walme hit a great ball. Teo Atarratze took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Gonza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the match, Atletico Campana's goalkeeper David Cordarrel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Justino Luken. When Apolo Galeno came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the EQF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Apolo Galeno couldn't finish the play. In the 45th match minute, EQF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Ritchie to maneuver through the defense. 48 minutes into the game, Atletico Campana's Mauro Gonza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teo Atarratze made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mauro Gonza was the one to do the kick off. When Justino Luken came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the EQF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Justino Luken couldn't finish the play. In the 60th minute, Apolo Galeno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 62nd match minute, Atletico Campana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saul Garaona to maneuver through the defense. When EQF's Apolo Galeno, in the 63rd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for EQF. Edgardo Lizardi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Teo Atarratze made a huge save. Justino Luken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Cordarrel having to interfere. Atletico Campana's David Cordarrel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apolo Galeno in the 77th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Edgardo Lizardi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Teo Atarratze. EQF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgardo Lizardi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Mauro Gonza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to EQF getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Santos Remir hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Atletico Campana's zone, Apolo Galeno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Cordarrel came out of the goal and Apolo Galeno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mauro Gonza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Teo Atarratze tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Apolo Galeno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Atletico Campana had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
