After a rather tough play, Guampacha AFC's Blas Azevedo got a free kick in the 9th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Moises Sanson in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Patricio Colon saved Guampacha AFC from getting behind. In the 12th minute, Guampacha AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Erasmo Petrigai fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Leon Lugo's late challenge caught a Guampacha AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leon Lugo helped the player get up and apologised. After 17 played minutes Scaloneta got a freekick which was hit by Leon Lugo. The audience was convinced that Blas Azevedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yunus Sekib was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Donato Bermund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 27 minutes into the game, Julian Matthew was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Scaloneta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guampacha AFC the free kick. In the 27th minute, one of Scaloneta:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Scaloneta. In the 29th minute there was a penalty for Guampacha AFC. Gabriel Ponciano stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Yunus Sekib. 0-1. After 31 minutes, Fabian Hitz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Scaloneta and the Guampacha AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Scaloneta fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! Patricio Colon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erasmo Petrigai in the 36th minute. Patricio Colon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Scaloneta. In the 63rd minute of the match, Blas Azevedo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Yunus Sekib saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Patricio Colon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erasmo Petrigai, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Moises Sanson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patricio Colon having to interfere. After 72 played minutes Guampacha AFC got a freekick which was hit by Cornelio Hurko. Donato Bermund's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Patricio Colon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. In the 85th minute, Moises Sanson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Patricio Colon was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 89 minutes into the game, Scaloneta's Donato Bermund nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Patricio Colon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Donato Bermund blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Patricio Colon having to make a save. When the referee ended the match the Scaloneta players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
