The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Chucho in the 43rd minute of play forced Corona Central's goalkeeper Gervasio Hanot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Roberto Jago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gervasio Hanot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Chucho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Santillán were awarded a corner in the 101th minute after Corona Central's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Danilo Kepa took the corner. Bernardo Godoy made a great header on Santillán's corner, it was just that Corona Central's Gervasio Hanot managed to reach the ball for a save. The Corona Central players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
