In the 16th minute, Emanuel Tello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the match, Temperley's Gustavo Inguma sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guillermo Ramond narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gustavo Inguma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gustavo Inguma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Gavino Euloxu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Esteban Hitz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Gustavo Inguma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guillermo Ramond showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gavino Euloxu in the 31st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Nueva Pretoria's zone, Gavino Euloxu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guillermo Ramond came out of the goal and Gavino Euloxu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Nueva Pretoria getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Emanuel Tello hit a great ball. Temperley's Lisandro Bartoli got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Guillermo Ramond made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gavino Euloxu in the 48th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Omar Vergaray to strike the kick off in the second half. Gustavo Inguma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Guillermo Ramond tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Braulio Fliz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omar Vergaray in the 59th minute of play. When Enrique Jesco fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Temperley's protests and gave Enrique Jesco a yellow card for diving instead. After 60 played minutes Temperley got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Jesco. Omar Vergaray scored 1-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Braulio Fliz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gustavo Inguma might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Guillermo Ramond. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gustavo Inguma ran back to his position shaking his head. Gustavo Inguma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillermo Ramond having to interfere. Guillermo Ramond made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gavino Euloxu in the 72nd minute. 75 minutes into the match, Nueva Pretoria's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Inguma came free, but Guillermo Ramond reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gavino Euloxu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 78 minutes, Gustavo Inguma managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Temperley's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustavo Inguma was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80th minute, Temperley's Gustavo Inguma dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. 84 minutes into the game, Temperley's Gavino Euloxu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guillermo Ramond made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The supporters of Nueva Pretoria booed when Temperley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteban Hitz didn't get a good kick on the ball.
