After a rather tough play, Nueva Pretoria's Uriel Paz got a free kick in the 2nd minute. In the 4th minute Arsenio Lorien shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guillermo Ramond saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guillermo Ramond showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arsenio Lorien in the 13th minute of the match. Luciano Gutierrez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amador Venceslao having to interfere. Augusto Frichoso charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Augusto Frichoso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Augusto Frichoso kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. A collision led to Tobar getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Eulalio Viator hit a great ball. Nueva Pretoria's Florentino Quinton couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 24th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Tobar. The Nueva Pretoria fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Nueva Pretoria's Omar Vergaray looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Arsenio Lorien fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillermo Ramond having to interfere. Omar Vergaray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luciano Gutierrez took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amador Venceslao. Amador Venceslao dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arsenio Lorien in the 47th minute of play forced Nueva Pretoria's goalkeeper Guillermo Ramond to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Prudencio Vargas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillermo Ramond having to interfere. In the 54th minute, Arsenio Lorien made a precise shot to the right of Guillermo Ramond. Nueva Pretoria's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. The audience was convinced that Omar Vergaray's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amador Venceslao was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Guillermo Ramond showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arsenio Lorien, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 70th minute Prudencio Vargas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guillermo Ramond saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Omar Vergaray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Omar Vergaray in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amador Venceslao saved Tobar from getting behind. In the 80th minute, Tadeo Arano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tobar's Amador Venceslao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Vergaray in the 85th minute of play. In the 87th minute Omar Vergaray shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amador Venceslao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tobar's Amador Venceslao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Vergaray in the 88th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Tobar's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Vergaray came free, but Amador Venceslao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute, Augusto Frichoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nueva Pretoria's Florentino Quinton couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Tobar. 94 minutes into the match, Tobar's Prudencio Vargas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guillermo Ramond narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Arsenio Lorien managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tobar's supporters rose to their feet, but Arsenio Lorien was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guillermo Ramond breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
