LOS BORRACHOS DEL TABLON's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elpidio Xacintu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ciro Mannie struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Edgardo Tulio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LOS BORRACHOS DEL TABLON. Edgardo Tulio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Baldomero Asur was the one to do the kick off. Felipe Lano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baldomero Asur, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. With a little luck, Icaño FC's Edgardo Tulio got control of the ball when Venancio Goi tried to sneak it across the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, Icaño FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Xacintu came free, but Edgardo Tulio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Venancio Goi in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgardo Tulio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 83rd minute of the match, Elpidio Xacintu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Edgardo Tulio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Maximiliano Columbo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Icaño FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Maximiliano Columbo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Felipe Lano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
