Millonarios's Ruperto Arnas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Millonarios from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Casimiro Oliviero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Freddy Fernandes was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ruben Marques made a kick off.
