Romeo Franco scored 1-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lino Flores, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Everardo Galo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Theobald, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Frente de Izquierda booed when Curapaligüé was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingos Blasi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Everardo Galo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Theobald, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Theobald in the 31st minute of play forced Frente de Izquierda's goalkeeper Everardo Galo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Everardo Galo came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Curapaligüé's Constantino Tolino. But to his dismay, Constantino Tolino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Alfredo Bermudez was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 53 minutes into the match. Alfredo Bermudez hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Frente de Izquierda's Donato Gamus got a free kick in the 56th minute. Constantino Tolino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dante Artal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Everardo Galo made a huge save. When Constantino Tolino came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Curapaligüé fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Constantino Tolino couldn't finish the play. Lino Flores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernan Quinteros, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. If Urbano Geleberto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnoldo Gurutz came free with the goalkeeper in the 85th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Everardo Galo could save by the left post. In the 88th minute, Curapaligüé's Constantino Tolino ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Everardo Galo. Everardo Galo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. The Frente de Izquierda fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Curapaligüé were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
