The independiente rivadavia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodolfo Gil should have stopped the shot. After 22 minutes, Marciano Odon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the independiente rivadavia and the Smitten FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to independiente rivadavia getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Marciano Odon hit a great ball. Norberto Luzea received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rodolfo Gil came out and tried to block the shot, but Norberto Luzea slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 23rd minute. Romulo Loiola struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Rodolfo Gil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Smitten FC. 28 minutes into the match, independiente rivadavia's goal looked a bit too open when Norberto Luzea came free, but Rodolfo Gil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robert Lidberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severo Abancens in the 31st minute of play. In the 31st minute, Severo Abancens made a precise shot to the right of Robert Lidberg. Smitten FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. 35 minutes into the match, Smitten FC's Gustavo Eliazar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodolfo Gil narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Norberto Luzea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Gil having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Romulo Loiola got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Norberto Luzea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Rodolfo Gil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Marciano Odon made the kick off in the second half. Norberto Luzea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Gil having to interfere. Severino Bento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Gil having to interfere. Anastasio Cristofor's late challenge caught a Smitten FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anastasio Cristofor helped the player get up and apologised. Anastasio Cristofor hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Rodolfo Gil made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2. Norberto Luzea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Norberto Luzea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norberto Luzea in the 80th minute of play forced independiente rivadavia's goalkeeper Rodolfo Gil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romulo Loiola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Rodolfo Gil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marciano Odon in the 86th minute of play forced Smitten FC's goalkeeper Robert Lidberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Norberto Luzea came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Smitten FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Norberto Luzea couldn't finish the play. Rodolfo Gil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norberto Luzea in the 95th minute of the match. Smitten FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
