The supporters of independiente rivadavia booed when Smitten FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Bento didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marciano Odon during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Smitten FC's Robert Lidberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marciano Odon in the 13th minute of play. Romulo Loiola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Rodolfo Gil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Norberto Luzea came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Smitten FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Norberto Luzea couldn't finish the play. In the 17th minute, Anastasio Cristofor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Norberto Luzea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodolfo Gil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norberto Luzea in the 19th minute of play. In the 21st minute Smitten FC were awarded a corner. Raul Gonzalez went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Raul Gonzalez got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rodolfo Gil quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Rodolfo Gil stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Norberto Luzea's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romulo Loiola in the 37th minute of play forced independiente rivadavia's goalkeeper Rodolfo Gil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robert Lidberg made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Severo Abancens sent off a good shot on target. Romulo Loiola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Rodolfo Gil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodolfo Gil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norberto Luzea, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Norberto Luzea to make the kick off. Norberto Luzea kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 66thth minute of the game Norberto Luzea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but independiente rivadavia's Rodolfo Gil was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Smitten FC's Romulo Loiola slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rodolfo Gil. That made the score 0-1 after 67 minutes of play. Rodolfo Gil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norberto Luzea in the 72nd minute of play. After 72 played minutes independiente rivadavia got a freekick which was hit by Anastasio Cristofor. After 75 minutes of play independiente rivadavia's Marciano Odon was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Rodolfo Gil came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Smitten FC's Norberto Luzea. But to his dismay, Norberto Luzea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 82nd minute Severo Abancens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Lidberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Norberto Luzea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Jose Blasco took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Robert Lidberg. Smitten FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
