Club Atletico El Linqueño's Cezmi Tüzel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramiro Baleren in the 4th minute of play. The score was now 1-0. 16 minutes into the game, Matias Izotz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Ciro Avellaneda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Prudencio Walme managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico El Linqueño's supporters rose to their feet, but Prudencio Walme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ciro Avellaneda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Fabian Haimar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. Ciro Avellaneda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matias Izotz, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabian Haimar couldn't finish the play. The referee ignored Club Atletico El Linqueño's protests and gave Fabian Haimar a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd minute, Fabian Haimar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ramiro Baleren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. The supporters of Club Atletico El Linqueño booed when Caracara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Sugoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 69 minutes, Clodoveo Txema managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atletico El Linqueño's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clodoveo Txema was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Evaristo Erauso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Avellaneda having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico El Linqueño's Evaristo Erauso got a free kick in the 82nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Constantino Tanio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caracara's supporters rose to their feet, but Constantino Tanio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cezmi Tüzel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Matias Izotz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute.
