The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Defensores de Belgrano's Antonio Vitin got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Antonio Cucao showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiburcio Pabla, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Raimundo Perrando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Roberto Johans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 20 minutes, Antonio Cucao successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rosendo Bermudo got free with Antonio Cucao in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Paranacito defense, Emanuel Nataniel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roberto Johans. The Paranacito fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roberto Johans should have stopped the shot. Antonio Cucao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Quilino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emanuel Nataniel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Johans having to interfere. If Emanuel Nataniel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Defensores de Belgrano's Emanuel Nataniel got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emanuel Nataniel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Johans having to interfere. Emanuel Nataniel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Roberto Johans made a huge save. In the 74th minute Raimundo Perrando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Johans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roberto Johans came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Defensores de Belgrano's Emanuel Nataniel. But to his dismay, Emanuel Nataniel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. In the 85th minute, Emanuel Nataniel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Celestino Cefero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raimundo Perrando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Johans having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Felix Abechuco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antonio Cucao was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. When the match was over Defensores de Belgrano could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Paranacito throughout the match.
