The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marco Naldo during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Osvaldo Rocendo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvador Felo, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. 18 minutes into the match, C.A.Tigre's goal looked a bit too open when Salvador Felo came free, but Osvaldo Rocendo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, C.A.Tigre's Leonides Egoitz got a free kick in the 20th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Higuerita's Omar Mincho broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Higuerita's Aurelio Fresco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Higuerita from getting a goal against them. 26 minutes into the match, Higuerita's goal looked a bit too open when Evaristo Olayo came free, but Aurelio Fresco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, C.A.Tigre's Evaristo Olayo got a free kick in the 27th minute. Osvaldo Rocendo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Felo in the 31st minute of play. Salvador Felo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo Rocendo having to interfere. The supporters of Higuerita booed when C.A.Tigre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Iztal didn't get a good kick on the ball. 46 minutes into the match, C.A.Tigre's goal looked a bit too open when Damaso Orlanda came free, but Osvaldo Rocendo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Dante Henric fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A.Tigre's protests and gave Dante Henric a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to C.A.Tigre getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Dante Henric hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Evaristo Olayo made a kick off. Damaso Orlanda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Osvaldo Rocendo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Higuerita's Aurelio Fresco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Luix in the 56th minute of play. Valentin Luix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Aurelio Fresco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonides Egoitz hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, C.A.Tigre's Leonides Egoitz got a free kick in the 68th minute. Damaso Orlandas short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got Osvaldo Rocendo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Aurelio Fresco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentin Luix in the 72nd minute of play. Aurelio Fresco came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by C.A.Tigre's Evaristo Olayo. But to his dismay, Evaristo Olayo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 76th minute Valentin Luix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Fresco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, C.A.Tigre's goalkeeper Osvaldo Rocendo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Damaso Orlanda. Jose Soter hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 87th match minute, C.A.Tigre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonides Egoitz to maneuver through the defense. C.A.Tigre's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
