C.A.Tigre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evaristo Olayo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 34th minute, Aristides Piarres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 2-0 came through a penalty shot after 41 played minutes, when C.A.Tigre:s Humberto Iztal calmly waited for Baños AFC:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. A collision led to C.A.Tigre getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Jose Soter hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evaristo Olayo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
