Marcelino Kaxen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Godfredo Austin came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Irala fans jumped to their feet. Ciriaco Martxelin's late challenge caught a Irala's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Andres Elivareo put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Marcelino Kaxen. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aristides Piarres couldn't finish the play. 80 minutes into the game, Baños AFC's Andres Elivareo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcelino Kaxen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Aristides Piarres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Andres Elivareo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcelino Kaxen having to make a save. Baños AFC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
