In the 3rd minute, David Montez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Honguito FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucio Ihintza in the 6th minute of play forced Sacachispas's goalkeeper Gilberto Garin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilberto Garin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugenio Atauri in the 13th minute of the match. Fausto Lidon struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Amado Cordaryal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sacachispas. With an all-out effort, Honguito FC's Gilberto Garin threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eugenio Atauri, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Fausto Lidon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amado Cordaryal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Baldomero Feliz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Amado Cordaryal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilberto Garin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugenio Atauri in the 28th minute of the match. Elvio Jatsu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute, Honguito FC's Eugenio Atauri dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. After 34 minutes of play, Honguito FC's David Montez made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gilberto Garin was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Sacachispas getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Nestor Raphael hit a great ball. Gilberto Garin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejo Feliz in the 38th minute of play. David Montez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Gilberto Garin made a huge save. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eugenio Atauri to strike the kick off in the second half. Amado Cordaryal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fausto Lidon went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Sacachispas were furious when Geronimo Xabat was red carded, 59 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 59th minute, one of Sacachispas:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sacachispas. The referee gave Honguito FC a penalty, 62 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Epifanio Lando, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sacachispas's Gilberto Garin. 4-1. The supporters of Honguito FC booed when Sacachispas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregorio Oliverio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute of the match Epifanio Lando sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gilberto Garin skillfully saved the ball. 97 minutes into the match, Sacachispas's goal looked a bit too open when Eugenio Atauri came free, but Gilberto Garin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
