Eriberto Ondino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amado Cordaryal having to interfere. Amado Cordaryal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eriberto Ondino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. David Montez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Americo Gutierrez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eugenio Atauri's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Americo Gutierrez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Eriberto Ondino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 20 minutes, David Montez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honguito FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Montez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Honguito FC's Amado Cordaryal got control of the ball when Marcelino Clis tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fidel Lop during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fidel Lop hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Amado Cordaryal made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Marcelino Clis sent off a good shot on target. In the 29th minute Eugenio Atauri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Americo Gutierrez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Villa Alonso SR's Eriberto Ondino got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Florentino Fero kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Epifanio Lando, 34 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 36 minutes, Florentino Fero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Villa Alonso SR and the Honguito FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 36th match minute, Villa Alonso SR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florentino Fero to maneuver through the defense. Honguito FC's Epifanio Lando couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 37th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Villa Alonso SR. Amado Cordaryal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eriberto Ondino in the 42nd minute of play. Eriberto Ondino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

David Montez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. David Montez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Americo Gutierrez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Montez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Americo Gutierrez having to interfere. Honguito FC's Lucio Ihintza got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Florentino Fero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Villa Alonso SR's supporters rose to their feet, but Florentino Fero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amado Cordaryal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Honguito FC's Alejo Feliz got a free kick in the 83rd minute. David Montez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Americo Gutierrez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Honguito FC booed when Villa Alonso SR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fidel Lop didn't get a good kick on the ball. Americo Gutierrez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugenio Atauri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match was over Honguito FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Villa Alonso SR throughout the match.
