Spectators: 7206 (Terracing: 5406, Seating: 1657, VIP seats: 143) Aurelio Ekain started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alejo Feliz during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Honguito FC booed when Jesus Te Ama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Tauro didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Aurelio Ekain came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Jesus Te Ama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurelio Ekain couldn't finish the play. Aurelio Ekain took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amado Cordaryal. Amado Cordaryal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 13 played minutes Jesus Te Ama got a freekick which was hit by Denis Tauro. After a defensive mix-up in Jesus Te Ama's zone, Eugenio Atauri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adolfo Piearres came out of the goal and Eugenio Atauri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 23 minutes into the match, Honguito FC's Epifanio Lando broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 27th minute Aurelio Ekain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amado Cordaryal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the game, one of Jesus Te Ama:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Honguito FC a penalty, 32 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Epifanio Lando, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Jesus Te Ama's Adolfo Piearres. 1-1. 39 minutes into the game, Eugenio Atauri recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Adolfo Piearres. Eugenio Atauri showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Adolfo Piearres made an important save on a dangerous shot by David Montez in the 43rd minute. When the match clock showed 45 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Aurelio Ekain sped through Honguito FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Amado Cordaryal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

When David Montez came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Honguito FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Montez couldn't finish the play. Jesus Te Ama's Adolfo Piearres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Montez in the 57th minute of play. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Honguito FC's goalkeeper Amado Cordaryal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Jesus Te Ama booed when Honguito FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucio Ihintza didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aurelio Ekain in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amado Cordaryal saved Honguito FC from getting behind. In the 66th minute, Florentino Delfino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jesus Te Ama fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Adolfo Piearres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Montez in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 76th minute, David Montez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adolfo Piearres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugenio Atauri, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After 79 minutes, Dario Birila mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jesus Te Ama and the Honguito FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dario Birila hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Eugenio Atauri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Adolfo Piearres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Montez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alejo Feliz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Honguito FC's zone, Florentino Delfino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amado Cordaryal came out of the goal and Florentino Delfino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aurelio Ekain struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Amado Cordaryal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jesus Te Ama. The Jesus Te Ama players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
