The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Feliberto Su showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Geofredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Apolo Cuartio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Feliberto Su made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marco Saturnin during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marco Saturnin kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Rafael Bautista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Feliberto Su tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 14 minutes into the game, Genaro Pacifico was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Newells De Rosario's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sportivo Chamical the free kick. In the 15th match minute, Newells De Rosario was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genaro Pacifico to maneuver through the defense. Feliberto Su made an important save on a dangerous shot by Apolo Cuartio in the 21st minute. Sportivo Chamical's Gervasio Fagildo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severino Tartalo in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 24th minute by Apolo Cuartio got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Severino Tartalo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newells De Rosario's supporters rose to their feet, but Severino Tartalo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gervasio Fagildo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 29 minutes into the match, Sportivo Chamical's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Tartalo came free, but Gervasio Fagildo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nunez Atauri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angel Jaume hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Apolo Cuartio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Feliberto Su made a huge save.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Severino Tartalo to strike the kick off in the second half. Severino Tartalo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gervasio Fagildo having to interfere. After having played for 56 minutes, Apolo Cuartio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sportivo Chamical's supporters crossed their fingers, but Apolo Cuartio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Newells De Rosario's Feliberto Su played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Geofredo in the 57th minute of play. Sportivo Chamical's Fernando Geofredo got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Apolo Cuartio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliberto Su having to interfere. Feliberto Su took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apolo Cuartio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76th minute Apolo Cuartio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliberto Su saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Saturnin was shown his second yellow card after 78 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Marco Saturnin kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Sportivo Chamical's Carlos Natal broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Fernando Geofredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliberto Su having to interfere. Apolo Cuartio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Newells De Rosario had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
