Spectators: 7020 (Terracing: 5420, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) Anastasio Marcones started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 8th minute of the match Antonio Ferran sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Feliberto Su skillfully saved the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silverio Mosen during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 11th minute, Silverio Mosen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Severino Tartalo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Enzo Gaur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severino Tartalo, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 18th minute, Teofilo Torres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Severino Tartalo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Sporting Club getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Silverio Mosen hit a great ball. If Severino Tartalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 30 minutes, Anastasio Marcones managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anastasio Marcones was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Teofilo Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marco Saturnin's late challenge caught a Sporting Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marco Saturnin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 34th match minute, Newells De Rosario was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Saturnin to maneuver through the defense. Nunez Atauri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Severino Tartalo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Enzo Gaur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nunez Atauri in the 52nd minute of the match. Nunez Atauri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 57th match minute, Sporting Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angel Uhin to maneuver through the defense. Feliberto Su showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofilo Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. If Anastasio Marcones had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Teofilo Torres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 76 minutes of play Newells De Rosario's Marco Saturnin was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Eriberto Lon took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Feliberto Su. Newells De Rosario's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Nunez Atauri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Enzo Gaur made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Newells De Rosario's Generoso Cordareo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Enzo Gaur. That made the score 0-1 after 85 minutes of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Newells De Rosario walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
