After a defensive mix-up in Pilar Gunners's zone, Victoriano Abajas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonatan Belmiro came out of the goal and Victoriano Abajas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iker Iratze in the 24th minute of play forced Pilar Gunners's goalkeeper Jonatan Belmiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angelo Birjaio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Jeronimo Mirande made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Iker Iratze managed to get in a good position for a shot. Álzaga's supporters rose to their feet, but Iker Iratze was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonatan Belmiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Victoriano Abajas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonatan Belmiro having to interfere. Jonatan Belmiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iker Iratze, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Victoriano Abajas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonatan Belmiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iker Iratze in the 38th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Pilar Gunners's zone, Iker Iratze stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonatan Belmiro came out of the goal and Iker Iratze tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Álzaga's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
