Newells De Rosario's Feliberto Su played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cipriano Distiratsu in the 24th minute of play. If Nunez Atauri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cipriano Distiratsu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliberto Su having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Newells De Rosario fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 70th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Pajalta a penalty, 72 minutes into the game. After a rather tough play, Pajalta's Santos Eder got a free kick in the 85th minute. Severino Tartalo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute.
