An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Birjaio in the 12th minute of play forced El Velez de Bianchi's goalkeeper Amadeo Bembe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. El Velez de Bianchi's Amadeo Bembe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Birjaio in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th minute Agustin Obano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeo Bembe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Pilar Gunners's Angelo Birjaio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amadeo Bembe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Severo Fonso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonatan Belmiro having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in El Velez de Bianchi fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 23rd minute. Penalty! After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Clemente Niva managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Velez de Bianchi's supporters rose to their feet, but Clemente Niva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonatan Belmiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leon Regis kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 45th minute El Velez de Bianchi were awarded a corner. Silvio Abella went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led El Velez de Bianchi's Silvio Abella to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonatan Belmiro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Clemente Niva to make the kick off. Amadeo Bembe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustin Obano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Rodolfo Maiorga fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Velez de Bianchi's protests and gave Rodolfo Maiorga a yellow card for diving instead. Rodolfo Maiorga kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Agustin Obano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Amadeo Bembe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Severo Fonso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonatan Belmiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Severo Fonso's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. After 73 minutes of play El Velez de Bianchi's Rodolfo Maiorga was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 75th match minute, El Velez de Bianchi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Maiorga to maneuver through the defense. Amadeo Bembe was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Abelardo Frisco. Urbano Olivar kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Angelo Birjaios short, quick shot in the 88thth minute got Amadeo Bembe to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Angelo Birjaio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Amadeo Bembe made a huge save.
