Spectators: 6670 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1670, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rogelio Bordat started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute Aristides Txilar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Pancho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Aristides Txilar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Diamante AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aristides Txilar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eriberto Pancho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 16th minute, Enzo Ixona hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eriberto Pancho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clemente Xacintu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rogelio Bordat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Abelardo Cambranes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Diamante AFC's goalkeeper Abelardo Cambranes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Saturnino Jokin. In the 27th match minute, Diamante AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reynaldo Erramu to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute Clemente Xacintu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Pancho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Clemente Xacintu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Saturnino Jokin got free with Abelardo Cambranes in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 38th minute, Nicanor Toro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Laureano Gurutz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Abelardo Cambranes. Diamante AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Saturnino Jokin in the 41stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Abelardo Cambranes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a little luck, Diamante AFC's Abelardo Cambranes got control of the ball when Saturnino Jokin tried to sneak it across the goal line. 45 minutes into the game, Reynaldo Erramu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Diamante AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chancay FC the free kick. A collision led to Diamante AFC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Reynaldo Erramu hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aristides Txilar to strike the kick off in the second half. When Aristides Txilar came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Diamante AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aristides Txilar couldn't finish the play. 62 minutes into the match, Chancay FC's goalkeeper Eriberto Pancho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clemente Xacintu. When Saturnino Jokin came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Chancay FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saturnino Jokin couldn't finish the play. Nicanor Toro's late challenge caught a Chancay FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicanor Toro helped the player get up and apologised. Clemente Xacintu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aristides Txilar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Eriberto Pancho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute of the match Laureano Gurutz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abelardo Cambranes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Clemente Xacintu got free with Eriberto Pancho in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Diamante AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Diamante AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
