But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antonio Veremundo couldn't finish the play. 19 minutes into the match, Bartolo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Apolo Cordaro came free, but Hilario Ereinotz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hilario Ereinotz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Apolo Cordaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilario Ereinotz having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apolo Cordaro in the 47th minute of play forced Bartolo FC's goalkeeper Hilario Ereinotz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Antonio Veremundo struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Hilario Ereinotz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Viamonte FC. Bartolo FC's Genaro Oroitz got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 57th minute, Viamonte FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Genaro Oroitz fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Antonio Veremundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 65 minutes, Antonio Veremundo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Viamonte FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antonio Veremundo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Antonio Veremundo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute.
