Apolo Cordaro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alsan Koehler read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. A collision led to Byron Bay City getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Ismael Soin hit a great ball. 15 minutes into the game, Julian Domingues threw the ball into play from the sideline. Byron Bay City's Korkut Öktüre quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Benicio Donzel kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Viamonte FC's Teobaldo Abalos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Viamonte FC from getting a goal against them. Rafael Paez hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Honorio Bras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Teobaldo Abalos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edelmiro Aragones in the 42nd minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Teobaldo Abalos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Honorio Bras in the 52nd minute of the match. Honorio Bras got in the 59th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Teobaldo Abalos handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Edelmiro Aragones fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teobaldo Abalos having to interfere. Antonio Veremundo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Alsan Koehler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edelmiro Aragones struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Teobaldo Abalos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Byron Bay City. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Antonio Veremundo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Viamonte FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Antonio Veremundo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alsan Koehler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Antonio Veremundo's late challenge caught a Byron Bay City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antonio Veremundo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Viamonte FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Antonio Veremundo hit a great ball. Byron Bay City's Edelmiro Aragones got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alsan Koehler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apolo Cordaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 94 played minutes Byron Bay City got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Paez. If Antonio Veremundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
