Niupi FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Melquiades Timo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute, Jonathan Pinto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 27th minute of the match, Melquiades Timo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gilberto Garaile saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Mauro Raphael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ezequiel Lastur, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Mauro Raphael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Honorato Mateus in the 32nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emilio Hunfredo during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 34th match minute, Niupi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilio Hunfredo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 35th minute by Melquiades Timo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 37 minutes into the match, Diegoleadores FC's goal looked a bit too open when Enzo Calixto came free, but Mauro Raphael reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mauro Raphael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaac Baladi, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 76th minute, Zeledon Florin sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Diegoleadores FC's Mauro Raphael didn't even have to move. Mauro Raphael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorato Mateus in the 78th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Melquiades Timo in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gilberto Garaile prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Niupi FC's zone, Melquiades Timo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Garaile came out of the goal and Melquiades Timo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Diegoleadores FC's Mauro Raphael proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Diegoleadores FC from getting a goal against them. Gilberto Garaile stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Melquiades Timo's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. In the 93rd minute, Niupi FC's Isaac Baladi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mauro Raphael. Mauro Raphael yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Niupi FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
