Spectators: 7257 (Terracing: 5444, Seating: 1669, VIP seats: 144) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Emilio Matxin took the kick off in the first half of the match. Albino Raebert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Segundo Laurgain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emilio Matxin kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Segundo Laurgain made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Victorio Ubarna sent off a good shot on target. 11 minutes into the game, Papagayos FC's Emilio Matxin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pablo Maureo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 15 minutes into the game, Adolfo Flores was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Espirillos AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Papagayos FC the free kick. In the 20th minute, Tiburcio Sandalio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 24 minutes into the game, Albino Raebert recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Segundo Laurgain. Albino Raebert showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Espirillos AFC's Pablo Maureo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emilio Matxin in the 27th minute of play. Pablo Maureo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Epifanio Artaldo in the 28th minute of play. Segundo Laurgain made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Victorio Ubarna sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Espirillos AFC's zone, Epifanio Artaldo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pablo Maureo came out of the goal and Epifanio Artaldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 38 minutes into the match, Espirillos AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Matxin came free, but Pablo Maureo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Espirillos AFC's zone, Epifanio Artaldo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pablo Maureo came out of the goal and Epifanio Artaldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emilio Matxin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Papagayos FC's Epifanio Artaldo got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Albino Raebert was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Blas Edur during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 52nd minute, Blas Edur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victorio Ubarna scored 2-1 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Segundo Laurgain, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Emilio Matxin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilio Matxin in the 67th minute of play forced Espirillos AFC's goalkeeper Pablo Maureo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Epifanio Artaldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pablo Maureo having to interfere. Pablo Maureo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilio Matxin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rd minute, Fausto Kauldi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victorio Ubarna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Segundo Laurgain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Epifanio Artaldo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pablo Maureo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Emilio Matxin took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Pablo Maureo to make any attempt to save it. Segundo Laurgain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorio Ubarna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Espirillos AFC's Pablo Maureo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Espirillos AFC from getting a goal against them. When Victorio Ubarna came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Espirillos AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victorio Ubarna couldn't finish the play. If Victorio Ubarna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
