The supporters of Juvenal Caledonians booed when Athena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgardo Jordy didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 47 minutes, Cesar Soter mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Athena and the Juvenal Caledonians players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cesar Soter kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Emanuel Santos made the kick off in the second half. Athena's Baldomero Elizardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Luix in the 57th minute of play. Jaime Geleberto took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Baldomero Elizardo. Baldomero Elizardo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Cesar Soter managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 67th match minute, Juvenal Caledonians was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Rainerio to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Juvenal Caledonians's Germano Burgos got control of the ball when Cesar Fraco tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Emanuel Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
